HECON provides R&D services to economic, scientific and professional organisations, building on the existing knowledge base and infrastructure available at other units of the University. In this activity, it cooperates with other organisations. The R&D service is carried out on the basis of pre-defined processes, which are continuously reviewed and improved.
HECON’s activities include:
- analysis and synthesis of scientific evidence
- health economic evaluation of innovative health technologies (health outcomes, cost, cost-effectiveness, budget impact, measurement and modelling of social impact)
- developing methodologies and tools for measuring health status, quality of life, health-related behaviour and attitudes
- non-technological innovation
